Kelsey Hayes takes a temporary summer job at a traveling circus in Oregon before she starts community college. She’s assigned to work with the circus’s tiger, among other things. Ordinary work, such as feeding the tiger and making sure its cage is clean. However, the more time Kelsey spends with Ren The Tiger, the more things become extraordinary.

Ghosts of the Shadow Market
Ghosts of the Shadow Market is a companion to Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, and The Dark Artifices series written in collaboration with Maureen Johnson, Sarah Rees Brennan, Robin Wasserman, and Kelly Link. It’s a world full of Shadowhunters — human Angel hybrids with a mandate to protect the rest of humanity from demons, Downworlders — anybody who is neither Shadowhunter nor demon, such as vampires, werewolves, and faeries — and, of course, demons. Beings that are neither Shadowhunters nor Downworlders — ordinary humans, in other words — are called mundanes. Some mundanes, however, have what’s called the Sight. This means that they can see everything: Shadowhunters, Downworlders, and possibly even demons.

A Man Called Ove
Chances are everyone knows someone like Ove. An old man, set in his ways, with a black and white sense of right and wrong. The Book Jumper
Teenager Amy Lennox is spending her summer vacation on the Scottish island of Stormsay, where she meets her grandmother for the first time and learns she is a book jumper — someone who can “read” a book by physically being inside it. All they have to do is open a book and put it over their face. A book jumper’s sworn duty is to preserve literature, but someone has been jumping and stealing main ideas from the stories. It’s up to Amy and her friend Will Macalister to figure out who is committing the thefts, and how and why they are committed.
